We've received the following letter from John Arthur Martinez of Marble Falls, whom many TMCers met when he participated in the TMC "Meet & Greet" last June. He also appeared at TMCer Judy Smith's Armadillo On The Creek in Comfort, TX, this past year.
Friends, Folks, & Family,
I've been selected for the USA Network television series Nashville Star! Clint Black will participate as a mentor for 10 of us who will vying for a Sony/Columbia Records Recording Contract. They are flying me to Nashville Sunday for some preliminary recording; word is some of Nashville's top producers will be working with us.
They showed up in Marble Falls with a television crew yesterday to let me know--shooting interviews at the elementary school with our girls and my former 5th Grade teacher Bette Garnett, the Bluebonnet Cafe with Aubrie our teenager, First Impressions where Yvonna works, Guaranty Federal Bank with my Mom and her screaming co-workers and more.
They work quickly because I had just faxed them a contract on Monday afternoon committing my talents to the program if I was selected. Thanks, for your thoughts and prayers. Please keep praying for me and my family.
